Sheep and decapitated heads

It was fantastic to kick off Death Drawing with a packed salon of eager sketchers. Thanks to everyone who came along for the first of the season.

Models John, Maud and Lux struck some striking poses and some killer marks were made on the pages of those that attended. Classic death scenes inspired by art and literature included:

The Death of Chatterton, Henry Wallis, 1856

Ophelia, Sir John Everett Millais, 1851-1852

Salome, Jean Benner, 1899

Photos and artwork to be posted very soon so if you didn’t make it along so you can see what we got up to by checking back in a couple of days.

PLEASE NOTE- THERE ISN’T A SALON ON 17th Jan. I made a mistake on the flyer . Sorry for confusion. The next one is ROMANCE IS DEAD on Tuesday 15th Feb (again, NOT the 17th Feb as I said today- there’s something about the 17th and my brain obviously. Oops.)
