Down at the bottom of the garden…

Raven Rouge as a scary scarecrow and Lux DeLuxe as 'Death Cherries' aka Bella Donna

We had so much fun at the Urban Physic Garden today. Here’s a sneak preview of what we got up to, more photos of our poisonous plant poses coming soon!

The sun came out, we played on the see saws and brought some macabre spirit to the amazing community built pop-up green space. We STRONGLY recommend you check this place out- a little sanctuary of plants and art in the middle of South London on Union Street.

There’s a skip turned into a ping pong table, bonfire, a Plant Orphange where you can adopt Wayward Plants and an ambulance cafe called the ‘Rambulance’ serving yummy food and herbal teas. What more could you want, all for free?! Plus the chance to learn loads about medicinal plants and herbs…including the toxic and poisonous ones!

This was our first outdoor, family friendly event and was great to see children getting into observational drawing as well as adults and exploring the garden and models to contribute to our collaborative giant drawing. We really hope to go back and another event before the end of summer when the garden closes…so watch this space!

More about the garden and the other events they have coming up here...
