Mannequins, shadows and dust…we got LOST at the weekend

afterlight (1)At the weekend we invited over 250 Lostlings attending the events at the derelict Selfridges Hotel to draw nearer and dare to become part of our living picture gallery as part of The Lost Lectures. We created a curious, macabre installation that audience could interact with during the interval, taking a break from filling their minds with subjects from science to performance art, ideas to questions, to come and feast their eyes on the uncanny scene we presented.

Mannequin parts peeked out of luggage trunks, torsos appeared in the shadows and our nude model/living mannequin Ava Iscariot made onlookers jump out of their skin as she slowly moved and crossed the line between animate and inanimate. Some spectacular drawings were created, adding to our gallery across the evening.

Were you there? Let us know what you thought of our contribution to the proceedings and see if you can spy your artistic creation on the Gallery here.
