For the first time, there’s the opportunity to party in the renowned medieval crypts of the Guildhall as well as the Art Gallery. For more about the exhibition, readArt Macabre’s review here. Take in the exhibition, see Victorian theatre with bite courtesy of Don’t Go Into The Cellar, attend our Art Macabre’s renowned drawing salon with Victorian characters, marvel at the feats of Leopold Aleksander aka The Mighty Moustache and dance the night away to the music hall stylings of the Singing Victorians. Be sure to dress the part!Tickets: £10 in advance (£12 on the door). Available now from guildhallgothic.eventbrite.co.uk

Art Macabre Victoriana tableau featuring Ava Iscariot and Cynth Icorn to be drawn throughout the night (with intervals). The event is a Late night opportunity to view the exciting exhibition ‘Victoriana: The Art of Revival, which brings together 28 major contemporary artists who encapsulate the many forms and motivations of modern takes on Victorian style. These include some of our absolute favourites: Yinka Shonibare, Grayson Perry, Paula Rego, Dan Hillier, Paul St. George, Rob Ryan, Kitty Valentine and Jake and Dinos Chapman. We’ve been wanting to curate an exhibition that reflects the current and rising love for all things Victorian inspired for a while, so I’m so happy that it’s being done by others and so well!
